Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a plant scientist. I'm a gardener and do-it-yourself home remodeler. I'm a father of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Arizona, but have relocated to the South Carolina where I teach biology and biochemistry at a small university. Our family spends lots of time working together on the garden and the many projects around the house. We read lots of books and enjoy watching science fiction shows.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by parents that were great examples of faith and charity. I trusted my parent's guidance as a child. However at some point there came a point where I had to decide if I was willing to follow the teachings of the church or not. This decision was not too hard to make because I had seen how much the gospel had blessed my family. I also had received answers to my prayers, showing me that Heavenly Father knows and cares about me. As I progressed through the programs of the church and prepared to serve a mission, the Holy Spirit witnessed to my heart that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that the Book of Mormon and Bible are true.

How I live my faith

I continue to relay on daily prayer to guide me through life. I try to serve those around me, both in and out of the church. I try to be a good husband and father. My current role in the church is to coordinate the sunday school classes. In the past, I served as a scoutmaster for the BSA troop associated with our congregation.
