Hi I'm Trent Elms

I'm a Mormon. Im an American, born bred and Freedom fed. I love my God, my Family and my Country.

About Me

I am curently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints in Costa Rica. before my mission i completed my AA degree during high school and was on swim team for my high school for all four years, i went to state my junior and senior year. i am an Eagle Scout, and consequently have a great love for the outdoors. living in the Northwest i enjoy backpacking, hunting, salmon and steelhead fishing, target shooting, boating, mountain climbing (Mt Hood & Mt Adams), and taking long drives in the country with my girl.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of this church and serve as a Missionary because the knowledge the Gospel Of Jesus Christ has given me has made me happy and i want to share that message with all who will listen. i was born into this Church, my Father was raised in the Church as well as my Mother. they taught me correct principles growing up, principles that for a large part come from the our Religion. you might think that i only belong to this Faith because its all i know and that its what i was raised with; but thats not the case. even for those of us fortunate to be born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we all have to be at one point in time choose whether or not to follow the principles we've been taught. that point in time came for me when i was 14. before i started high school i had to choose whether or not i was going to follow what the Gosple of Christ teaches or follow a different path. im so happy for the love and support from my family and the Church and ultimatly my Savior for helping me and guiding me in the way i should go. without this Church and the doctrine and principles it teaches i would not be the same person nor would i be doing the same things. the knowledge of Gods plan for me and my potential to become like Christ and our Father in Heaven has shaped my life in so many ways. i know this Church is true because i have read the Book of Mormon, which testifys of Christ and his Gospel. i have recieved a personal witness that this is Christ's Church and that if i live by it then i will be blessed with happiness in this life and the next.

How I live my faith

right now i am serving a mission for the Church in the Central American country of Costa Rica. my purpose as a missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them recieve the restored Gosple by having faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. for the next 22 months now i will be teaching the Gosple of Christ to the people of Costa Rica. before this i served in the nursery at my home ward. service in the Church is expected out of everyone. no one gets paid, though i do feel the blessings of service from my Father in Heaven. i am excited to serve as a missionary for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and i am going to strive to work as hard as i can to bring as many of my brothers and sister to the knowledge of His Gosple and the true happiness it can bring into their lives.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Trent Elms
As a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I teach the restored Gosple of Jesus Christ, which is that if we accept Christ as our Savior by repenting of our sins, are baptised in His name and follow his example throughout all our lives by enduring to the end we can return and live with God our Father and Jesus Christ.
