Hi I'm Taylor Hughes

I'm a college student. I'm an Identical twin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at BYU, and am currently serving in the Arizona Tucson Spanish speaking mission. I love to travel, eat, be with my family, sing, read, and be with good friends. I grew up in California with my parents and 3 brothers. I have an identical twin brother who is serving in the Guatemala City North Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the power of God and the witness of the Spirit as I have been a part of this church. I have a testimony of each principle of the gospel through the spirit and through acting in faith on the principle. I was raised in the church, but had to gain my own testimony for myself. I have recieved my testimony over time as I have been uplifted, changed, transformed, and loved by the example and sacrifice of Christ. I have felt the spirit of God as I have read the scriptures and feasted on the word of God. I have witnessed the power of the priesthood. I have truly been transformed by the power of the atonement. I continue to follow this gospel because I know it is true with all of my soul, I am a witness of it. It has brought me incredible joy, happiness, light, and direction. I want this joy to grow and be with me throughout all of my life, and I want nothing more than to bring others into the same joy that I am so grateful for.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by doing my best to pray and read from the scriptures daily. I love to learn more from the scriptures every day. I am currently serving a full time mission, where I have been called to devote all my time and talents to serving the Lord. I have served in quite a few callings in the church, where I have the opportunity to help those around me. I am happiest when there is someone I can be serving. Most importantly I live my faith by striving to follow every day the example of my savior Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Taylor Hughes
We believe that families are the sacred and divinely ordained unit of society. We believe that in a home of a loving father and mother guided by the gospel of Jesus Christ there is true joy. In this enviroment love can permeate our homes and make our families strong. We believe that through the sacred ordinances of the temple we can be sealed to our families for eternity.
