Hi I'm Nicole

I am a student. I love gymnastics and playing flute. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona then moved to Oregon where my parents got divorced. We moved back to Arizona where my only sister and I would drive back and forth to see both my mom and dad who live half an hour away from each other. We went to high school near my mom's house, but went to church every Sunday with my dad as well as Mutual (the Church's youth group) on Wednesday nights and gymnastics during the week. I am now a hard-working college student, and I'm somewhat of a perfectionist. Things I really look forward to throughout the year are the holiday family gatherings on my dad's side of the family. I enjoy spending time with my cousins. I also love to play the flute. I have a Labrador, named Buddy, at my dad's house who is extremely energetic and tons of fun. My sister and I are now in college. Most of my dad's side of the family are members of the church, but my mom converted before they got married in the temple. The divorce was just before my sister and I would have been baptized, so we weren't baptized until about two years ago. Ever since we received the blessing of baptism, my sister and I have continually sought to follow the Savior's example. I have always looked up to my sister who has been an incredible example to me and has always been my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Through His gospel I find true happiness because I know that my Heavenly Father guides me and wants me to return to live with Him. I don't have to follow Him but I choose to because I have felt His guidance in my life and I know that eternal life is what truly matters. I rise above worldly influences because I find true joy in living the standards of Christ. No one is perfect or can completely avoid adversary, but I can learn from these tests of my faith as I rely on my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that overcoming challenges with a good attitude will strengthen me and bring me closer to my Savior so that I will be prepared to meet my Heavenly Father and have eternal happiness when I return to His presence to live with Him once more.

How I live my faith

I serve others by volunteering at events in my community. Serving others is a fun and rewarding way to spend time during a stressful week of school. Also, I find that reading my scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father each day strengthens me, gives me true peace, and reminds me of my purpose here on earth.
