Hi I'm Logan Tuttle

I'm serving as a missionary in the Michigan Detroit Mission and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a small town in central Utah. I played basketball and football for my high school. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I enjoy going hunting and fishing. My parents are amazing and so are my two sisters, their husbands, and my brother. I am currently serving as a missionary for the church in the Michigan Detroit Mission. I began my mission in June of 2013. I love serving the Lord. There is nothing better!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church because through my experiences and through much study and prayer, I have come to know that it is truly the Church of Jesus Christ. It helps me to know who I am, the purpose of my life, and where I can hope to be after this life. It gives me an eternal perspective and gives me a reason to live as best as I can. I have not always had a strong testimony. I went for a long time without reading and even praying, but I believe strongly in the quote that says, "Each man must be backed up to the wall of faith, and there he must make his stand." It came to a point where life had backed me up to the wall of faith. I changed my life, read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true and if Joseph Smith was a prophet. I have come to know that these things are true by the power of the Holy Ghost. I am also thankful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the opportunity He gives me to be forgiven and have a fresh start when I make a mistake. His example and teachings help my become a better person. He has done so much for me and this brings me true happiness.

How I live my faith

I am serving the Lord as one of His representatives so it's important that I live my faith everyday. As a missionary, I have many opportunities to give service and help others come unto Christ. I strive to do what I know is right. I pray to my Father in Heaven to help me live my faith and be an example to those around me. I change when I am doing wrong, and I change when I want to be better. That's the miracle of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is faith?

Logan Tuttle
To have faith is to “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (see Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21 and Hebrews 11:1). Each day you act upon things you hope for, even before you see the end result. This is similar to faith. To me, faith is the belief that if you live right and put your trust in God and let Him take care of the things that are out of your power, everything will work together for your benefit whether it be through trial or success. It is important to remember that faith, without works, is dead. We must act on our faith in service of others, and in serving our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. We must have faith that Jesus Christ lives, and that his Atonement was completed so that we may be forgiven through repentance and return to our Father in Heaven. It is faith in Him that provides happiness in this life, and eternal life in the world to come. Faith is but a little seed and if planted it will grow. We must trust in Him and be confident that through our faith in him, everything will turn out for our good in the end. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Logan Tuttle
I've come to know that the easiest way to get to know someone is through talking with them. The same works with our Heavenly Father. Through prayer we have that chance. Through our feelings during prayer and the outcome and answers we get from prayer we can come to know that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us and has been waiting for a long time for us to come to Him. Stand in Holy Places. Be where God is. Those are two ways to know of a surety that God lives and is looking out for you. Show more Show less
