Hi I'm Amy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Mom! I LOVE being a Mom and I have three adorable children, who fill up my time and my heart. I love teaching them, spending time with them, and loving them. Because of this, I have chosen to stay at home instead of going into the workforce. However, before I met and married my wonderful husband, I was pursuing a combined degree in Education and General Humanities at the University of Lethbridge. I loved it because I love learning and studying. It is something I could have spent my whole life doing! Reading and learning are still things I really enjoy. I love philosophy and discussing ideas, especially new ones, and I love learning about other religion and cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. When I get to talk to other people about Jesus Christ and what he taught, it fills me with joy. Nothing makes me happier than to share what I know with other people, because I KNOW the principles Jesus taught are true, and that living the principles He taught will bring joy and happiness to anyone who chooses to embrace them. I believe in a loving, merciful, caring, understanding God who answers prayers and knows the name of every single person living. I know He cares what happens to all of us, and because of His great love for us, He sent Jesus Christ to earth. The laws and principles Jesus Christ taught while he was here help us be happy and find fulfillment in our lives and understanding about its purpose. The Mormon church teaches, talks about and preaches about Jesus Christ in a profound way, and really helps its members apply what Jesus Christ taught to their own lives.

How I live my faith

Right now I have three darling children, and the oldest is four. Because of this, I spend a lot of time at home. The principles I learn at church help me know how to react to situations I face daily in an appropriate and loving way, and help me strengthen my family relationships. I trust and rely on my conversations with God through prayer to guide me and direct me in decisions and choices I make. Through prayer I have learned a lot about myself and about my children and family that I wouldn't have been able to learn any other way. Programs within the church help me take the time to reach out to others and become a better person.
