Hi I'm Dan

I'm a husband, father of 2 boy and 2 girls, medical doctor, and a mormon.

About Me

I am the father of a busy family with 4 kids - 2 girls, and 2 boys. I work as a doctor, and my wife is a dental hygienist. Though we no longer live there, we met while we were both living in New Orleans. My wife and I enjoy the many activities of our kids from their sports, plays, and other performances. I thrive on being outside and am an avid golfer. The world, cultures, art, and music (especially jazz) continue to fascinate me and I served a two year LDS church mission in Buenos aires Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I attribute all the good things in my life to living this gospel ... My marriage, my kids, the daily peace and security I feel in this crazy world we live in. I live this faith because I need it. I know I am far from perfect and sometimes don't know how to navigate this life. By going to church, helping others, reading the scriptures, and praying I and my family are blessed by our Heavenly Father. We feel and recognize his help, guidance, and peace. We know that trials are part of this life and the plan Heavenly Father has for us, but this gospel helps us put it all in perspective and gives us confidence.

How I live my faith

I lived in Buenos Aires Argentina for two years as a young man working as a missionary for the church. I have participated in many / most of the programs in the church over the years - I have taught kids in the primary, worked with the youth and Boy Scouts, have helped lead adult men and their families in an Elders Quorum, was in a bishopric, and high council. More importantly however, I try to live this faith in simple ways day to day. We try to have family prayer together every day, and read scriptures as a family. I and my family try to serve others and be good citizens. We want everyone to know that we have a Heavenly Father that loves all of us and that this gospel teaches us that everyone has so much good in them. We can return to our Heavenly Father after this life and living the gospel during our lives makes life richer.
