Hi I'm Cami

I was born in Bethlehem, I grew up in Kirtland, I am attending BYU, I'm going to Fort Worth, Texas; and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love life. I love seeing the world and its beauty. I love music, especially playing the piano. Give me almost any book and I'd love to read it! I am currently a sophomore at Brigham Young University studying Therapeutic Recreation. I want to help others recover to have the ability to live to their full potential. I have just received my mission call to Fort Worth, Texas, reporting September 17, 2014!!! I love my family so much! My mom and dad, my older sister who is currently on a mission in Germany, and my younger brother and sister! They are the best people in my life! I am so glad I can have them for eternity!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, baptized and confirmed at age 8, entered the Young Women's program when I was 12, etc... I have followed this set plan since my birth. But this is not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I have felt the blessing of this church in my life. I have felt the love of the Savior coming through the members, the Prophets and apostles, the scriptures which we have available. I have felt the blessing of the Spirit, helping me make correct decisions, watching out for me, blessing me, and testifying to me of the truthfulness of what I have learned through this Church. Once I gained that testimony of the truthfulness and importance of this Church, there was and is no way I can turn away from it. This Church is true and the Lord reveals His direction and guidance through the Prophets and apostles whom He has called. The Lord's path is straight and narrow. As we follow it we gain knowledge, blessings, and true happiness. I am so grateful for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that through Christ's Atonement, we can all be forgiven if we just turn to Him and repent. I love them so much and know that I will live with Them again someday.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. I do my best to be a representative of Christ through all of my actions. I participate in my Young Single Adults ward on Sundays by teaching a class about basic doctrines of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These doctrines come from the scriptures and teachings of the Prophets of God. I also participate in Visiting Teaching where my companion and I visit two girls from the ward each month, get to know them, become their friends, and share messages about Christ with them. I live my faith by my everyday actions and words; not only when others are around, but when I am by myself as well.
