Hi I'm Patrick Bills

I'm from Salmon, Idaho. I love to play basketball, fly fish, hunt birds and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in the Mendoza Argentina Mission spreading the gospel. I love to play sports, especially basketball. I love being in the outdoors, fly fishing and bird hunting. I am competitive in almost everything I do which makes life fun. I love serving the Lord and being able to bless other peoples lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons of why I am the person I am today and why I am part of this religion. I grew up in a Mormon household, which was very nice. My family is the best! I have had a multiple of spiritual experiences and miracles seen in my life. Throughout my life I haven't really had many temptations to do real bad things. Yes everyone sins but being obedient to the commandments and what the Lord says we will live happy lives. I had never read the Book of Mormon until just recently. I read it in about 5 months right before my mission. After I read it I took up Moroni's promise in Moroni 10:3-5 to pray after reading and to have 3 things: a sincere heart, real intent and faith in Christ, when praying. I did this, and after I prayed I felt the Holy Ghost fill the room and I was overcome of joy, happiness and filled with love. Tears rolled down my face because I felt so good. I am the type of person to help other peoples lives better. Our church is about service and helping other people. When I help others and serve them I feel happy, and who doesn't want to be happy right? I know our Heavenly Father will bless us for serving others and being obedient. I am a Mormon because I personally received an answer of the truthfulness of the gospel and it has changed my life since then.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by dedicating two years of my life to serving my Heavenly Father in Argentina to bless the lives of other families that don't have the knowledge of the restored gospel. I feel my faith and testimony grow each day that I serve. By attending church, reading my scriptures daily, praying often, and following each commandment helps my faith grow and shows how much I love this gospel. I have had many opportunities to serve before the mission in church callings by helping strengthen the people around me and myself.
