Hi I'm Julie

My sister and I are the only members of the church in my family. I was baptized when I was 15. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I got baptized when I was in 9th grade. I had gone to church with a friend since I was 10 years old. My oldest sister was a great example to me. Now I'm married and have a great husband and 3 wonderful kids. I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, and reading. I am working on my college degree in English right now.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had many great examples in my life since I was a young girl. My church leaders when I was a teenager were so wonderful in helping me to follow the Savior's path and make good choices. The friend I went to church with as I was growing up was such a great influence on me; since I didn't have the church in my home, seeing how her family lived really helped me to know what I wanted for my own family when I grew up. As I went to church in my childhood, the things that were taught just made sense to me and felt right. I felt like it was the place that I needed and wanted to be. Times when I wasn't sure if the church was right for me, I went to the Lord in prayer, and He let me know that I was on the right path, and that He was happy with me. I always knew that I could count on the companionship of the Holy Ghost to guide me if I was obeying the Lord.

How I live my faith

I am a Counselor for the Young Women of our Stake. I love working with the youth of the church, and the leaders that I work with are the best! I help each summer with Girls Camp, and help to put on several activities each year. At home, I try to teach my kids the importance of following the Savior, but sometimes I find that my kids are the ones teaching me! :) My husband and I have been married for 20 years, and we know how important the family is to our Heavenly Father. I have a strong testimony of our Savior's live for each one of us. I try to do my best to obey his commandments, and to be a good example of the gospel to those around me.
