Hi I'm Dani

I grew up in Northern Utah. I am a working mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah surrounded by three sisters, two brothers, and lots of cousins. I am a wife of a strong husband and a mother of a beautiful baby girl. Growing up, I played a lot of sports including soccer, softball, volleyball and basketball. I love getting lost in books and learning new songs on the piano and guitar. I am currently learning to love cooking and have a secret desire to run my own bakery. I love vacationing with my little family and would love to travel the world. I love to run and exercise and be outside. I am excited for the adventures that each new chapter of my life brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the incredible joy it brings into my life. There is no greater happiness that can be found on this earth than by living the commandments that have been set out for us by our Heavenly Father. He has provided the way for us to receive that joy through His son, Jesus Christ. I know it is through the Atonement of our Savior that we have the ability to someday return to live with Them in a state of never ending happiness. I am so grateful for opportunities I am blessed with to share this message with everyone. I have felt this joy and I want others to feel of it also. I know that by following the teachings of the Bible, the Book of Mormon and true prophets and apostles we will be led along the straight and narrow path back to our Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by building a relationship with my Savior. I know it is through His Atonement that I receive such happiness in my life. I try to follow His example of teaching others the correct principles of the gospel, both by precept and example. I try to live as He did and bring joy to others lives. I share my testimony in my ward and express gratitude when others do as well. I visit sisters in my ward that need someone to talk to or just a treat. I try to listen and learn from those around me. I smile and let others see my happiness in living the gospel. I spend time with my family and become better friends with them every day. I love my Savior and I try to make sure all those around me can feel that love too.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Mormons don't drink coffee, tea, or alcohol because they are harmful to our bodies. Our bodies are a precious gift from our Father in Heaven and we should do all we can to properly care for them. To help keep our bodies and minds healthy and strong, God gave us the Word of Wisdom through the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1833. This law of health emphasizes the benefits of abstaining from tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea and illegal drugs. We are promised physical and spiritual blessings if we follow the Word of Wisdom. I know I have been blessed with health and strength by keeping this commandment. Show more Show less
