Hi I'm Edy

I run marathons, I plant gardens, I ride on a Harley motor cycle with my husband and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Wanderlust should be my middle name. I love to travel and have traveled to many countries; but I am not done yet. And I do not subscribe to the "been there, done that" motto; I love to see things over and over. I now live in Hawaii and I love it. It is like the Garden of Eden.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ is my Savior; and he has shown me the way I should live. In the Book of Mormon the most amazing example of how he loves the people of the earth is where He appears to the people of the American Continent (Probably in South America.) I love reading about how He loved the little children. I love children as well. I love my family and I hope to be able to live with them forever. That's why I am so grateful to have been to the Temple and I have been "sealed" together as a family. Many people believe they will be together with their family forever but their church doesn't believe it or they have no way to bind the families together. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints actually has been given the Priesthood authority to bind on earth and it will be bound in Heaven. I will actually be able to have my family with me in Heaven. That really will make it HEAVEN. I can't imagine heaven and not be there with my husband of 44 years.

How I live my faith

Many people participate in service activities such as helping out when a disaster strikes a certain area, and I have done that also. We are now providing service at the Brigham Young University Hawaii and we are working for free 8 to 10 hours a day. What a thrill it is to get to know people from over 70 countries who are attending or working at BYU Hawaii. When we go to church on Sundays we are surrounded by young men and young women from Korea, Japan, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Micronesia, Cook Islands, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, Hawaii, Fiji, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Guam, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Africa, Congo and many others. It is like traveling all around the world every week. It is so amazing to see and hear the confidence and faith that comes to the new members of the LDS Church and Gospel of Jesus Christ. Some have endured great hardships to be the first members of their family to be able to attend a university.
