Hi I'm Nathan

Born in Idaho, married southern beauty, raised 4 daughters, have a grand child, successful business and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town surrounded by the rocky mountains of Idaho. I served my mission in Michigan then returned to BYU. Remember that southern beauty I mentioned in my intoduction? Well I met her the first month back from my Mission at the Y. We married a year and a half later in the Washington DC temple. On the way back to provo from DC we stopped in Chraleston, SC for my southern beauty to finish her degree in Physical Therapy. Twenty some odd years later we've raised four beautiful daughters, started a technology company that is now international, traveled the world. Some day maybe we'll get back to Provo and finish that degree. I love hunting, fishing, all outdoors and the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

It creates the highest level of peace, joy and happiness I've ever experienced. I have experienced alot of things that are fun and incredible from a worldly perspective but nothing matches the witness of the holy spirit or his sustained influence as I live the gospel of Jesus Christ or the understanding of where I came from, why I'm here on this earth and where I'm going when i die. I was raised in the church but as with all kids who are there comes a time you have to find out for yourself. I have distinct memories as a child feeling the holy spirit. I even prayed as a young man (around 14) and felt a confirmation that the Book of Mormon was true and Joseph Smith was a prophet. As I went through the rest of my teenage years I doubted and wandered but then one day I felt removed from the good feelings I had as a young man growing up in a latter day saint home. As I immersed myself in study and living gospel doctrine/principles I gained a sure knowledge that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Church of Jesus Christ here on earth with his full blessings and priesthood. Why I'm a Mormon....because it creates the greatest stability (peace, joy and happiness) I can enjoy here on this earth.

How I live my faith

I have found that the way to enjoy the stability (peace, joy and happiness) I've mentioned above is to live in harmony with the gospel. If I ever doubt or wonder if I'm out of alignment I review the temple recommend questions as they clarify what Heavenly Father and the Savior want me to do while here on earth and prepare for eternal life. Five basic tenants of the gospel rule my life. Service to others through my callings in the church or acts of kindness, pay a full tithing on gross income, attend the temple regularly, pray frequently and study the scriptures. I have found that if I do these things regularly I feel aligned with the Godhead and enjoy the blessings of peace, joy and happiness. There are many other small things but in general these are the things that I do.
