Hi I'm Jackson

I'm an Arizona guy. I love sports and speak Japanese. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Arizona originally, but I am currently living in Utah and attending BYU. I am studying Economics and Japanese and aspire to be a business consultant in the future. I love reading, writing, sports, watching movies, and hanging with my friends. I also love hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors, especially the mountains!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has deep roots in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But even as a life-long member (I was baptized when I was 8), I, like everyone, had to find out for myself if it was right. I read the Book of Mormon before I was 8, and I have tried to apply the teachings of Jesus Christ into my daily life. Little by little, I was able to really feel and experience the reality of the gospel in my own life. I served a mission in Tokyo, Japan and was really able to see the gospel affect not only my life, but the lives of many others. I now realize that I am happy when I follow the teachings of the restored gospel, and that I'm not satisfied when I don't. It's basically the coolest thing ever! I've realized who I am, who I can become, and what I want to accomplish. I know that our Heavenly Father will help and encourage us no matter what. There's no way that I could live life any other way. This way is just too awesome!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is an everyday experience. I try to take time every day to learn and to study the gospel and to apply it even more into my life. I love to serve and help those who might need it. Right now I am serving in a ward (a group of people who meet together for church) for young, unmarried adults like myself. I work closely with the missionaries in the area to help everyone learn more about Jesus Christ and how awesome the church is. It's basically the most satisfying thing ever! I try to be an example of living life the way that Heavenly Father wants us to; namely an awesome one!
