Hi I'm Jaren

White from birth, Japanese at heart. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a haole living in Hawaii, loving life and everything that comes. I am a student at BYU-Hawaii right now studying education with a dream of being a teacher in Japan someday. Gotta shoot for the starts, right? I am the third son in a family of 7 kids, love em all! I lived in Japan for 2 years as a volunteer missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, during which I had some of the greatest experiences of my life. The Japanese people are amazing, which is why I want to live in Japan. I am currently working as a tour guide for Japanese guests at the Polynesian Cultural Center, which is an amazing job! I learn so much about Hawaii, Polynesia, and Japan. I love life here in Hawaii, back in Idaho, or hanging out in Japan, I just try to love and live happy no matter where I am!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was lucky enough to be born into a Latter Day Saint family and they taught me good values and about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have doubted these things quite a few times in my life, but through prayer and a search to know for myself, I have come to know that this is true. When I follow the teachings of this gospel and live according to what I know, I always am blessed and feel more peaceful and happy about my life. Life is hard, but I know that as I have followed this gospel, and done these things, I have grown happier than ever before. Thats why I am a happy Mormon.

How I live my faith

I took a two year break from work and college prospects and served as a volunteer missionary in Japan, teaching people about Jesus Christ and the things I believe. Pretty much the best job ever. I got to spend time in the best country in the world, teaching people about the best stuff in the world, in the best language in the world!!!! It was one of the greatest experience of my life. I will never forget the experiences I had during those 2 years.
