Hi I'm Eric Williams

I was born and raised in Utah, I've been called to serve the Lord in the Washington DC South mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to run a lot and do goofy stuff. I've ran a marathon and I play real life Quidditch. A few months before leaving on my mission, I flew out to New York City and went to the Quidditch World Cup and competed on the University of Utah team. I'm an Eagle Scout and my favorite food is probably either nachos or churros, or maybe both.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I've found for myself the truthfulness of this gospel. From reading the scriptires, praying, attending seminary and instiute, going to church, and many other things, I was able to have the Holy Ghost in my life enough to have it confirm to me that the Book of Mormon is true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truly God's church here on earth. My testimony has been strengthened while I've been on my mission more than I could have possibly imagined. Through daily miracle experiences, I've seen more than ever that God really does answer prayers. If we go to Him with our concerns (whatever they may be) and ask for help, we will receive the help we need as long as we are willing to act on the answer. It's truly a beautiful thing, and more than anything, it's a blessing.

How I live my faith

I believe that the best way to show faith is by acting on it. Right now, I've committed two years of my life to serving the Lord like many other people my age. Although serving the Lord for two years is a sacrafice, I know that my family, friends, and the people that I invite to Christ will all be blessed. But I've also come to realize that not every act of faith has to be a large one. Simply praying, reading the scriptures, and keeping his other commandments shows God our love we have for Him, and He will bless our lives for demonstrating our faith to Him.
