Hi I'm Frank Mann

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Although I was born in California, I was raised in Minnesota. I graduated from Southwest High School where I was the only Mormon in my class. I went to college at Northwestern Unitersity in Evanston, Illinois where I graduated with a degree in German. While at Northwestern I was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. I interrupted my education for 2-1/2 years to serve as a missionary for the Mormon Church in Germany. After graduation from Northwestern I served 3-1/2 years in the Army where I was a Russian linguist. I spent a year at the Defense Language Institute learning Russian. After that I was stationed in Germany for 2 years. I then went to graduate school at the Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management where I graduated with a Master of International Management degree. After graduation I moved to the Chicago area and worked for 20 years in customer service/sales administration poistions at St. Regis Corporation and Toshiba America Consumer Products. I then worked for 9 years at Northwestern, my alma mater, providing enduser PC/network support for students and staff. From there I moved to Utah to work at a residential facility for teenagers with behavioral problems where I worked as a family representative. I am now retired. I volunteer at the local hospital, work on genealogy, and enjoy the natural beauty which surrounds me. I am married to my beautiful wife, Linda, whom I met at church in the Chicago area. We have 2 grown children, both adopted.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised a Mormon and have deep Mormon roots (my ancestors were among those who first settled Utah) I have had to work to develop my faith in God. This has come about because I have felt the hand of God as he has guided me throughout my life. This was strongest at a point in my life where my wife had to undergo cardiac surgery followed 2-1/2 months later by being downsized out of my job. Although I was scared, I felt the protection of the Lord and know I was guided to the place I neede to be. He is there and we need only to seek Him to reap the blessings He has in store for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others.
