Hi I'm Gavin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up playing sports like basketball, football, and track in Idaho. Snowmobiling became a favorite hobby while getting an degree in construction management at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. Idaho winters were great for snowboarding but tough on construction so my wife and I came to Southern California to start my career and enjoy surfing trips to the beach as often as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born Mormon, my parents allowed me the opportunity to make decisions for my self when it came to religion. While serving as a full time missionary I truly developed a love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I witnessed lives change as individuals accepted the truths found in the scriptures, including The Book of Mormon and Holy Bible, written by ancient prophets. I also developed a testimony of modern day living Prophets and Apostles who receive inspired revelation specific for our day. To me it makes sense that our Father in Heaven would continue to provide guidance through chosen servants like he did anciently.

How I live my faith

Life is busy. Fortunately the principals of the gospel of Jesus christ are simple. With daily scripture study and prayer it is possible to develop Christian attributes and be a true follower Jesus Christ. As part of God's plan, families will be together forever. Living far from any extended family members, my wife and I have made those we go to church with our family. Not only do we worship and study the scriptures on Sunday but we participate in service and look out for one another. Although I have plenty of room for improvement I find real joy and happiness in my life as a Mormon.
