Hi I'm Taylahanne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Taylahanne. I am a convert to the church. i was baptised in October 2009. My hobbies are hanging out with friends and hanging with my family. I am currently studying a bachelor of business. I completed year 12 and then moved straight into studying. I have a job as a retail assistant at a surf shop and have been working there for nearly four years. I am the only member of my family but have been close with another family from my ward. I have had many blessings in my life through living the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a Mormon? its a question that i have been asked since i joined the church. When i first became a member, i was excited but still had a lot to learn. Throughout my years of being a member i was able to exercise my faith. I recently attend a EFY 'Especially for Youth' program that ran over one week and from this week a grew a stronger testimony of why us as mormons do the things we do. I realized that my non member friends were faced with challenges but never saw them as blessings. i dont smoke, drink or do drugs and im more than confident that i will be able to live a healthy life. I am more than certain i will marry in the temple and be able to live with my husband and our family for eternity if i keep my commandments. i am so ever greatful for the gospel in my life and the spirit it brings to my non member home. My home has been humble and everything seems to be getting better and i hope one day my family will admire my example and one day choose to live the gospel as i do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping out my young women aged 16-18. It is a tough life to live when the standards of the world are dropping. As young women we focus on a lot of service, we love service. During the start of last year, the floods hit queensland and quite local to our area. We decided as a group to go down for the whole week and all day to help these people who had lost everything. We saw the joy in their faces as we helped them and they wanted to know why such young people would clean their house instead of being out with their own friends. We always organise service activities and we partcipate in as much as we can. This year we are helping eachother to be examples to others. I hope this year i am able to be an example to someone that they would like to know more about my standards and my beliefs
