Hi I'm Erin

I'm a Mom, I work part time & I feel the Lord's love in my life everyday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom and a wife first and foremost. I have been very happily married for 20+ yrs and have three beautiful and very busy teenagers. We spent 19 yrs preparing our oldest son to serve a mission for our church. He received a call to serve in Ukraine and spent a month in the Missionary Training Center and unexpectedly was released due to health issues. We have been looking forward to and helping him plan for his mission all his life. So it has not been easy to watch my son go through this challenge, but I know that without the Lord's help and guidance none of us would be able to get through it. I don't blame my Heavenly Father, I turn to him for strength and comfort. I never finished college or served a mission. Maybe one day I will finish college, but I will serve a mission with my husband someday. Being able to serve the Lord is very important to me. I serve in the church now, but having the opportunity to serve a mission with my loving companion is something I am very excited about. I work part time at a school helping teachers help their students better. I am an avid reader, especially mysteries and fantasy, and enjoyed being part of a book club for 9 yrs. Anything I can do with my family I enjoy. I love photography (amateur) and my kids think I take to many pictures (I don't). Without the gospel in my life I know I would not be where I am today. It's true & I know it!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I attended many different activities and meetings as a young child and a youth. I grew up in a family of six kids who were also very active in the church. Since then three of my siblings are not currently active, but I have not given up on them. Maybe one day they will read something like this and feel his love again. I prayed every morning and night and read and studied my scriptures. I believe my true conversion didn't happen till I was older. I grew up in a big family, but didn't go to school with alot of Mormons. So I was tested and my beliefs were challenged all the way thru High School. I look back now and wish I was stronger and more confident in sharing my testimony with my friends. Thats why I believe my conversion came later in life. Actually I think I am still being converted. Everything I do to better myself as a follower of Christ makes my testimony stronger which in turn converts me even more. My life is blessed. It is blessed because I have turned my life over to Christ. I see these blessings everyday and I knw that they come from serving the Lord and following his commandments. I am a Mormon because I want to feel his love and comfort in my life. I want to live with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I love the opportunity to serve in the church. I love that my husband and children have the opportunity to serve also. I have taught children as young as 18 months and youth as old as 18. I have tried to learn the scouting program and also been a den leader. I have taught women in the gospel, gone to girls camp, and helped put together many different types of activities. I am also able to be a visiting teacher which gives me an opportunity to get to know so many different people that I may not have taken a chance to get to know otherwise. As a visiting teacher I am able to visit with other women in their home and learn from them. Each and every calling I have held has helped me try new things, strengthen my testimony and drawn me closer to my Heavenly Father. I have gotten to know and love so many people through serving in the church.
