Hi I'm Chanel Beazer

I'm 22 years old. I'm getting a degree in child development at BYU-I and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be active and do things outside. My favorite things are to do are hike, bike ride, go boating, play volleyball, golf and do yoga. I've recently started painting and really enjoy creating something beautiful from nothing. I'm a single 22 year old girl who just loves to have fun. I'm majoring in child development and my future career plans are to be either a recreational therapist or elementary school guidance counselor. When I was 18 I went to Ecuador and worked for a program called O.S.S.O (orphanage support services organization). It was one of the best experiences of my life and has made me want to do more humanitarian service. It also spiked in me a desire to travel and see the world, helping people along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have seen how the gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives for the better. There have been many occasions in my life where I have been comforted by the Lord and have felt of his love. I know that by following the gospel of Jesus Christ I am a happier, better person. I know that this gospel can bring happiness and peace in the lives of others as well. I know that the Lord always hears and answers our prayers when we ask in faith. I know that we have trials and afflictions for a reason. They are really hard and sometimes we don't understand why it's happening but I know we can grow, learn and become better because of them. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and I have learned so much about how I should live my life by reading it. I know that I will find no greater joy in life then the joy I receive from keeping the commandments of the Lord and by following the prophets counsel. I know that families can be together forever thru the gospel and the atonement of Jesus Christ. I can't think of anything better then being with the ones I love for the rest of my life. I know this church is the only true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to be an example of Christ. I try to show Christ-like love to those that are around me. In my ward I participate in our classes and try to help lift others. I often participate in service projects that our church participates in like highway clean ups and making humanitarian kits. I look for opportunities everyday to teach people what I've learned that has helped my faith grow and hope that it helps them in their time of need.
