Hi I'm Kinzi

Love to laugh and experience new things. Married my best friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from BYU Idaho in Early Childhood/Special Education. It's a mouthful but it's worth it! I love kids and what better thing than helping those adorable little special spirits learn. In 2012 I married my very best friend in the temple and now 2 years later we are expecting our first child a little girl. We are also about to embark on an adventure of driving across the country to Florida weeks after our baby is born for my husband's internship. In 2011 I flew on a plane for the very first time to go to Mexico for 4 months to teach English. It was the best experience of my life! I fell in love with Mexico and the people I met there. I lived with a host family that has become like my second family. I love them so much! Just a few days after I turned 16 my mom died after a long battle with cancer. For our family it was almost a relief to know that she would no longer have to suffer. Because we are an eternal family we know we will see her again. Through the Savior's love and suffering for me I was able to allow Him to take the pain. But don't get me wrong, it is still a very hard thing to lose someone you love so much. I don't know how I would have done it without the Savior in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised a Latter-Day Saint my whole life. But at a young age I was encouraged to receive my own testimony. I can remember several times when I felt the spirit testify that the gospel or even just small portions of the gospel were true. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ died for not only our sins but also our sorrows, pain, and heartache. Through His atonement we can truly be happy. This knowledge has gotten me through the most difficult times in my life. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and His Son in a vision and that he restored the true gospel to the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and I love to read and learn from it. It brings me peace and comfort when I read it's pages. I know that families can be together forever and I am so grateful for the blessings of the temple. I love my family and can't imagine facing death believing I would never see my loved ones again. These are the basic principles of the church that I cling to.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in the temple and attending church and serving wherever I am asked. It is always a new learning experience as I have served in various positions in our church.
