Hi I'm Cassi

I love dancing, cooking, and roller coasters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just so happy to be alive! There is so much goodness and beauty to see every day if one looks. I have experienced hard things in my life, but the Gospel has helped me conquer all of my darkest hours. Even though I was born in Utah, I have lived most of my life in other states in the U.S. I constantly seek things that will open my eyes to the vast reality of life concerning our Heavenly Father's children on this earth. I love spending time with my family and dogs. I have discovered that the more I serve my family, the more I love them, and the more the Spirit of our Heavenly Father dwells within our home. I simply love the Gospel of Jesus Christ because of all of the peace and joy that it brings into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because I am sure of the truth of the Atonement of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When I read the Book of Mormon, I know that it is true. It is true! The things within it are good and pure, and I feel the Holy Spirit every time I pray to Heavenly Father while I'm reading it. This church is truth. It is the one true church of God and the Savior is the best example for us to follow. I love the family feeling that comes from being a part of this church. The Lord loves all of His children, and this is something that we can all celebrate together.

How I live my faith

Something that really helped me grow stronger in my testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is my gratitude journal. Every day, I write a few lines about the things that I am grateful for that day. Often, I think of these things in terms of how Heavenly Father's hand has touched my life that day. No matter how difficult or terrible my days are at times, I can always find blessings from God. This constant seeking of His love and guidance in my life has helped me follow the footsteps of Christ more fervently. Another thing that I do is challenge my personal testimony of Christ with thoughtful questions. I try very hard to think deeply about how Christ's sacrifices have affected my life. For example, I think, "Christ seeks the lost sheep of the fold. Am I part of the fold, or am I lost? When I am lost, how I can I come back to the Savior? What does it feel like to share the joy with Heavenly Father and Christ when returning to the Gospel?" When I challenge my testimony on my own terms, I keep progressing closer to God.
