Hi I'm Peter

I was born in North Carolina, and grew up in Utah. I love music, I love my friends, and I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I love piano, saxophone, flute, clarinet, and singing. I love listening to music and I like composing it, too. I'm in enrolled in college, pursuing a piano performance degree. My family is awesome and, although we're often far apart, we're super close to each other. I have a lot of friends and a lot of fun.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? It started out as a desire to believe (Alma 32:27). I wanted the LDS church to be true. I wanted a testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel, so I decided to experiment upon the word. God promises us that as we do His will, He will manifest the truth unto us (John 7:17; 1 Nephi 17:13). I read the Book of Mormon, and I prayed to know if it was true, and I recieved an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost (Moroni 10:4-5). I now know of myself that the LDS church is true, that Joseph Smith was truly called of God, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that God is our loving Heavenly Father. Because these things are true, we are able to receive all the blessings God has to offer, if we apply the Atonement in our lives. I'm so grateful to be able to pray to my Heavenly Father every day, or every time I need to, and receive guidance to help me in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by showing it through my works (James 2:17). If God gives a commandment, I do my best to follow it. He won't give a commandment that I can't keep (1 Nephi 3:7). That means that I study my scriptures every day, I pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ, I attend church every week and partake of the sacrament, I serve others and do my best to follow the Savior's example, and I repent of my sins and mistakes. Also, the Lord has called me to serve a mission, and that's what I'm doing right now. When God gives a commandment, it is in order to bless us. I know that when I do as He directs, my life is better off because of it (D&C 130:20-21). When I make a mistake or mess up a little bit, it's never worth it in the end (Alma 41:10). I'm so grateful that God is merciful and will always forgive our sins if we turn to him. We truly can become clean through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
