Hi I'm Blake

I'm a runner, going to Taiwan, and a Mormon!

About Me

I love to run! I started cross country and track my sophomore year of high school and have loved it ever since! I grew up a baptist and was raised up around a lot of LDS friends. Over the years I noticed that there was something special about my friends and wanted to know more. I eventually got baptized, started going to seminary and am about to serve a mission in Taiwan! I absolutely love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

As I went throughout my elementary and middle school years I was around many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You could most definitely feel something different about them. As I grew older I sought more knowledge and enlightenment. I found many answers through the gospel and my friends. And as I searched for answers and obtained them I searched for more! I started going to church, I attended a early morning scripture study class called Seminary, I read the Book of Mormon all the way through. I was connected with heaven! I love this gospel and I know someday my family can see the blessings it has brought upon me and most importantly them! This gospel is the Savior's gospel, and through the Savior's atonement, if we repent, we can live with our Father in Heaven again. How great will that be! I'm grateful for the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon. This book is the most correct book of any book on earth, and a man can grow nearer to God by abiding by its' precepts than by any other book. I read this book every chance I get so I can feel connected with the Holy Ghost and Heaven. I love this gospel and its' definitely a gospel of forgiveness. I love the Savior, our Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost and I say these things in the sacred name of the Savior, even Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to align my will with Heavenly Father's will. I try to be more and more like the Savior each and every day. I love to serve and do so every opportunity! I follow the commandments and I know they're there to help us and strengthen us! I love my family and obey my parents to show my faith.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Absolutely not! We love to serve anyone and everyone we can! Our message is that God is our loving Heavenly Father and we are ALL his children. What that means to me is that I ought to love and serve everyone that I see. It's actually quite amazing, for when we start to serve others whom we might not even know we can get a glimpse of how our Father in Heaven sees us and that's why Mormons love to help everyone, because it helps us become better and more than we could be if we didn't help other!
