Hi I'm Michelle

I love audio books, watching hubby grow our orchids & build stuff for our home. Learning alternative medicine. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My husband & I are celebrating our 25th anniversary this October and even though challenges come & go, we still manage to find more reasons to celebrate the years we've shared. We have 2 wonderful children. Our daughter is 19 & our son is 17, they keep me busy & happy. I'm a nurse working full-time in a cardiac cath lab/recovery room & find my work very rewarding as I get to meet & help a diversity of people. I am humbled & strengthened by many of their stories & testify to you that miracles do happen. I love to read & listen to audio books mostly by Covey, Dyer, Carnegie, Canfield & Hill, to name a few. My life is busy so I really like listening to scriptures while I'm getting ready in the morning. I love to bake (but never seem to do as much as I'd like), cross-stitch, play pool & like to play all kinds of games (although I'm a bit competitive I'm still a good sport). I love learning about alternative medicine & helping others. I have studied EFT, herbology, iridology & sclerology and find different approaches to medicine quite fascinating.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church & baptized at the age of 8, but our family struggled while I was young & I remember attending church only once or twice a year. When I was about 14 I decided to attend church on a regular basis. My mother, who was inactive for a long time, always bore her testimony to us kids. Even though she struggled she taught gospel principles to all of her kids & testified that following these gospel principles would bring us happiness. Two years ago she started to attend church again & just last year she was able to go to the temple. I have never seen her happier or more at peace. I know that prayers are answered, even though sometimes it takes a while. I love the gospel! I love feeling the spirit in my life. Lately, I have read alot about the atonement & how infinite Jesus' love is for me. Knowing & understanding my Savior has helped me understand my life's purpose and has given me the guidance and happiness I've searched for in my life. I truly feel my life is abundant!

How I live my faith

I have been teaching the young children for a few years now & currently teach & help with activities for the 8 to 11 year old girls, it's so much fun. One of my most favorite values is integrity. I live my faith by standing up for what I believe in. I believe everyone should live with integrity & be committed to living a righteous life that is filled with good purpose. I really try to respect & love all people, even though we're so different, and try to embrace & learn from those good differences in others. Most of all, I try to follow my Saviors example, it's not always easy but it's definitely worth it, and I'll keep trying one step at a time.
