Hi I'm Jess

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mother of 4. 3 boys & one girl. I have been married to my best friend for almost 17 years. Our 2nd born son was born w/ a rare genetic neuro degenerative disease called Ataxia Telangiectasia (or A-T for short). Typical life span of a child w/ A-T is late teens/early 20s. We rely heavily on our faith to get us through the challenges of raising a special needs child & still making sure the needs of our other kids are met, as equally as their brother's.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 13 years old. The only member of my family to join. It was a big decision & one that was not readily received by most of Irish Catholic Family. I just knew after reading the Book of Mormon & praying that this was the true church of Christ & that this was the path that was meant for me. My testimony of the Gospel has been challenged many times over the course of my life but it has also grown exponentially because of those trials. I am so grateful that I have the Gospel in my life & that I can teach my children about the Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith simply day in & day out. I make mistakes but I know through the Gospel of Jesus Christ all things are possible. I have a wonderful calling in my ward as the 2nd counselor in the Young Women's program. I am in charge of the spiritual education & bonding of the 12-13 yr old girls & I love this calling. Our girls are so wonderful & I love watching the Savior through their love & faith & action in the church. They have taught me many wonderful things & I love being able to learn fromt hem as much as they learn from me.
