Hi I'm Brad Carter

I grew up in the Salt Lake Valley. I own a financial advisory firm. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I met in our junior year in high school. We now have three beautiful daughters, and three wonderful sons in law - with seven grandchildren that our world revolves around! I graduated from the University of Utah in Accounting and received my Certified Public Accountant designation. Shortly thereafter I received a Master of Science degree from the Washington School of Law. I also hold the ChFC and APMA professional destinations. I've worked in the financial services field for 34 years, the past 22 of which I have owned a financial planning franchise dedicated to helping people create and protect their wealth - with a special emphasis on helping people plan and prepare for retirement. I enjoy traveling, being with family, reading, singing, and playing golf and tennis.

Why I am a Mormon

I've come to believe that we all want the same things in life - peace, happiness, and the love of family. With the challenges that life can bring - finding those things, and holding on to them - can be hard. My message to you is to look up! You are a child of a loving Heavenly Father who knows you, and loves you beyond your comprehension. You are literally His son or daughter - and He is literally your Father in Heaven. As your Father, He understands the true recipe for happiness. Be assured that your life has a purpose and that God has a plan for you. His eternal Plan of Happiness exceeds your highest hopes and most earnest dreams. At the center of His plan, is the atoning sacrifice made by His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. It is His sacrifice that gives us hope in this life, and beyond. Relationships with family and friends do not need to end at the grave, but can continue forever. Throughout history, God has shown His love for us by providing prophets and apostles on the earth to warn and guide us. Adam was the first prophet. Over time, the posterity of Adam rejected the gospel and chose to be unrighteous; which caused Heavenly Father to withdraw his gospel from the earth. This pattern of apostasy was sadly replicated with each prophet from Adam down through the ages. When Jesus Christ came to the earth in the meridian of time, once again our Heavenly Father reestablished His Church with prophets, priesthood authority and truth. However, after the death of His Son, Jesus Christ - and as in previous dispensations, these precious truths were once again gradually lost. My message to you is simply that Jesus Christ's Church has once again been restored to the earth in its fulness; never again to be removed! Prophets and apostles are again upon the earth to guide and bless us. These truths that I speak of are the basis for the happiness I have found in my life and the life of my family. I invite you to come and see for yourself what God has prepared for you.

How I live my faith

As a newborn baby, my mother would feed me when hungry. As a toddler when I'd fall and scratch a knee, she was there to put a bandage on it. As an adolescent, whenever I'd become discouraged, my father would be there to put his arm around me. As a teenager, when I needed a little money, my parents gave me some if they had any. Growing up, I thought life was all about me. I've since realized that it just isn't so. My parents care for me growing up has allowed my eyes to see more clearly that the purpose of life is about blessing the lives of others. Most people are turned inward when we should all be striving to turn outward. We all struggle from time to time. Each of us needs one another. As I've gradually learned to turn my life outward from inward, I've discovered that greater peace and satisfaction comes from unselfish service to others. My wife has taught me this better than anyone.
