Hi I'm Jordyn

I love to dance, eat ice cream, go to Nuggets games, and sing really loud. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, first off, I have the funniest, best family ever. I'm the oldest of six children, five girls and one boy and I have thirty-one first cousins. (Yeah, that's four more than the girl on My Big Fat Greek Wedding). My family's best at teasing each other, being obnoxiously competitve while playing sports, and quoting comedy movies. I studied modern dance at UVU for two years. I've been a dancer my whole life and have done tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, modern, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theater. My other interests include staying up until five a.m., being classy, hanging out with my grandma, and eating cereal for every meal of the day.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel so much. It brings me happiness I can't find in any other way. I am so grateful for my Savior and everything He has done for me. I know that the prophet, Thomas S. Monson, is here to guide and direct us and that following his counsel will lead us to paths of happiness. What this gospel teaches has helped me through so many rough times and has helped me become more like the person I want to be.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ. I'll never be perfect as He is, but in all I do I try to emulate Him. As a full-time missionary for the Church, all of my time is spent serving others. I'm always looking for ways I can help those around me in any way. Family is a big thing to members of the LDS faith and my family means everything to me. I'm very close to them and know I wouldn't have anything without them.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Jordyn
Mormons are not required to serve a mission. Many people think the church forces us to do certain things-we aren't forced to do anything, we make our own decisions to live the way we do. All able young men are encouraged to serve missions, but they can choose whether they wish to or not. I have chosen to serve a mission for many different reasons. We have been promised that by serving missions our lives, the lives of our families, and those we serve will be blessed. I believe this promise to be true. Living this gospel has brought me more joy than anything else and I want to share that joy with others. Show more Show less
