Hi I'm Jerri.

i'm eighteen, i have a bright future a head of me, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

i am just starting off on my own in this world, i am slowly breaking off living at home with my parents, i work a full time job as a file clerk and a receptionist to save up for my education. when i grow up i aspire to become a photographer, a mother and wife. i love the gospel more than anything, and i don't want to know the kind of person i would be without its guiding influence in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

why am i a Mormon... i was born in the church, i was baptized when i was eight years old. i figured out that i wanted to be a Mormon all on my own. see, i am blessed with the most amazing father in the whole world, and he let me decide for myself if i wanted to be a member of this church or not, i was never forced to go to church, mutual, or any other church activities, my dad let me decide. i was raised by my dad, because my mother died when i was three years old, leaving me, two older brothers, and my 16 month old baby sister behind. we were all taught to love the Lord, and to have faith in his plan. i know that because of the sealing ordinance that my family performed in the temple my family was bound together for time, and all eternity. i know without a doubt in my mind, that i will see my mother again. even now, i feel her in everything that i do, driving in the quiet of a car on the way to work, i feel her beside me, in the temple i feel her smile reach me from Heaven. i know that our Father in Heaven created this plan for our happiness and to help the bad times not seem so unbearable. these past 15 years without my mother have been a challenge: constantly having to do my little sister's hair, having a boy break my heart... those are things i would have liked to have a mom around for. but then i think to myself, "mom's not far, if anything, she's closer to me than she could be if she were still alive" I'm a Mormon because i know the strength i have with Heavenly Father on my side, i know that he loves me, i know that my family will be together again.

How I live my faith

i live my faith not just in the callings that i have in the church, but in the little things that i do everyday. i work in an office with several enthusiastic religious people, baptist, catholic, protestant, you name it. and all of them ask me about being Mormon, and what we do and how i act differently. i get an opportunity to show them or tell them everyday what a Mormon is like. i feel like being a member of this church isn't something that you can hide, if you know that this gospel is true, you shine- and there's nothing you can do about it! and i try everyday to let that shine within me show. Being Mormon isn't just someone that you are on Sunday, you are everyday, and it shows.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?
