Hi I'm Amy Noel

I live in Southern California. I have four sons, I'm an artist, a Spanish teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from college right before my last son was born. I could be a full-time Spanish teacher but I decided to stay at home and take care of my four boys ages 6 and under. Money is tight for us and I have to work hard around the house, but I wouldn't trade being with those boys for the world. Besides all the cooking and cleaning, we also like to paint, read, and take care of our bunnies, bees, and chickens. A few times a year we make sure to get out to the beach and go camping.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the church and taught me well, but personal experiences of my own have led to my decision to be a Mormon. When I was about eight years old I remember singing a song in Primary at church called Families Can Be Together Forever. As I sang, a feeling welled up inside me that brought me to tears. The little girl next to me gave me a worried look, but I knew the feeling I had was from the Holy Ghost. I have had countless experiences when the Spirit has testified to me the truth of the restored Gospel. When I was nineteen I sat on my bed reading the Book of Mormon and I realized after about ten minutes that I felt a profound peace that was coming from reading a book of God. Most importantly, I have felt the Savior's love for me as I have repented of my sins. I decided to serve a mission for the church and was sent to Santiago, Chile. I had a great experience and my faith and love for God and His children grew from serving the Lord every day for eighteen months.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a teacher in the ward my family attends. I teach the women's class, once a month. I love to teach because it makes me study deeply and really get into the scriptures and gospel teachings. Before teaching the women's class I taught Sunday School. I was also recently the meeting house librarian. I really liked ordering and organizing all the teaching materials.
