Hi I'm Ashlee

I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio, I'm a student at college, and I work at my family business making snow cones! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at BYU and I'm studying business. One reason why I'm pursuing business is because I've worked for the past 9 years in my family business making snow cones and helping manage the business. It's always fun to be paid for giving kids sugary treats! Some things I like to do in my free time is play volleyball and just hang out and have fun with friends. Right now I am serving a mission for 18 months to spread the gospel to the people in Norway!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it feels right in everything I do. When I was baptized, even though I was only 8 years old, I remember the distinct feeling I had when I was immersed in the water. There was a warmth that consumed my heart and left a warm feeling as I got out of the water. I was too young to realize that I had truly been touched by God. My sins were washed away that day through the atonement of Jesus Christ; he loves me so much that He died for me. I won't lie and say I've been perfect ever since then, but through the Lord and His love I am able to repent. Another reason why I am Mormon is because I know that through the Holy Spirit that I received after I was baptized, I have had that constant companion in my life. At times when I am stressed with school, work, or decisions, I say a prayer and a feeling of peace overwhelms me. It is such a blessing. It is through my actions and beliefs, which happen to be the same as the Mormon Church, that I have felt everlasting joy that I can't even do justice in trying to describe.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by just doing the best I can in all that I do. What brings me the greatest joys in life are the small things like smiling at a stranger walking by me, dressing in a way in which I'm comfortable and modest, hearing a scripture that rings truth in every word, seeing the beauty of a temple of the Lord, looking out at the grandeur of nature, and so many more. When I appreciate the small things, I realize most how blessed I truly am.
