Hi I'm Angel Smithson

I'm a wife, a mother, a school crossing guard and an It Works Independent distributor and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my amazing husband for almost 16 years and we have 3 handsome sons together. I am a crossing guard for an elementary school and an Independent distributor for It Works. I love to sing, do crafts, write poetry and draw in my spare time. My family and I are fairly new converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we were baptized in 2009 and were sealed as a family in the temple in 2010. Our family has been greatly blessed to have met the missionaries that introduced us to the gospel and we will forever be grateful!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always searched for the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I had studied with Jehovah's witnesses for years and though I loved them dearly, I knew in my heart and by the power of the Holy Ghost that it was not the true gospel..it had bits and pieces of things that were right but not the fullness of the gospel, but at that time, it was all I knew. Though it was all I knew, I did know that I was not going to join their church. During that time, my husband was not spiritual at all, and lots of things were holding us back from going to church, but eventually great changes came to our family which prepared us to hear the gospel and 6 months later, we met the missionaries! We knew that what we were hearing was true, we could feel it! Then they gave us a Book Of Mormon and asked us to read it and pray to Heavenly Father to ask if it was true and I did and I KNOW it's true, the Holy Ghost bore witness to me. The missionaries walking down my sidewalk that very day was an answer to my prayers!

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I am in the primary presidency, so I help teach the younger children. I was the Faith in God Girls leader for a couple of years before this, which I loved and I love my current calling as well! My family tries to do our best in living the way that our Heavenly Father has asked us to in our home as well as out in the community. I love to help others in need in any way that I can. I try to do service for others as much as I can..because if we are in the service of our fellow man, we are also in the service of our God. I love being involved in church functions and being around my church family! They keep my uplifted and strong in the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Are Mormons Christians?

Angel Smithson
Of course we are! :) We worship and love our brother and Savior Jesus Christ! Everything we do revolves around Christ and his loving sacrifices for us. We live our lives so that we can return home to be with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! So YES I'd absolutely say we're Christians in all sense of the word! Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Angel Smithson
No, not at all! We are all brothers and sisters on this Earth and we love everyone. If someone needs help, we help! We are taught to have charity which is the pure love of Christ and how can we do that if we pick and choose who to help? I love to help anyone in need! :) Show more Show less
