Hi I'm Ben

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life has been blessed beyond what I can express. The biggest blessing God has given me is being married to the love of my life. Together we have two sweet sons who mean everything to us. I enjoy any activity with my family, especially being outdoors; hiking, camping, hunting, and riding bikes.

Why I am a Mormon

I have the seen and felt The Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bless my life and the lives of others so much that I cannot deny the truthfulness of it. It is the medium by which we can have full access to the Atonement of Jesus Christ; that great miracle that enables all to overcome sin and death. We all need the saving power of the atonement in our lives. This was reiterated to us with the passing of our son, Judson. While this experience has been the most tragic of our lives, I know that because of what Christ has done, and because of His restored gospel, we will be together with our son again one day. What a remarkable blessing and gift our Father in Heaven has given us. For those who are seeking truth in our day, the Lord has once again called prophets to lead His church and His children. The church of Jesus Christ has been fully restored and possesses the organization and authority needed for us to return and live with God and our families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best person I can be in all of life's circumstances. I seek opportunities to help those in need, and I work with other members of the church to bring all closer to Christ. Using Christ as an example, I make it a priority to express love to my family, which is the single most important thing in my life.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

In a word, yes! This is one of the most treasured truths of the gospel for my wife and I. With proper authority a husband and wife can be 'sealed' together, along with their family, for time and all eternity. During His ministry on the earth, Jesus said, “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19). Jesus gave this authority to his disciples. In modern times, this same authority was given to the prophet Joseph Smith. That authority remains on the earth today and is held by select men in the church. All worthy members of the church can experience this blessing. Show more Show less
