Hi I'm Carly Jasperson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single mother to a beautiful daughter named Cameron, who is 3 years old. We love to laugh and play dress up. Somehow she is always the princess and I am always her prince. She says sometimes my prince voice sounds girly. We love to watch movies. When she wants to watch the same one over and over I gladly say yes, it gives me time to read. I love to read! I am a hair dresser and when mommy has to "go make money" Cameron is so blessed to spend time with her grandma's and papa's. When it is nice out, we are out. We love nature and animals!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I followed the commandments and obeyed my parents quite well as a youth. When I graduated high school I got into trouble with alcohol, then drugs. I spent almost 10 years away from the church. It was when God sent an angel from heaven for me to mother that I was lifted from my sin and blessed to return to His grace. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on this Earth. I have been blessed to gain knowledge of Christ and His teachings, of the great and noble Prophets of old and the amazing plan of salvation. Thru great faith I have come to know this Gospel is true.

How I live my faith

Just this year I have made a goal to live the Gospel more fully. I became endowed 2 years ago and am constantly re-evaluating my standing as a mother, a friend, and a daughter. I strive to live my life as God would have me live by daily prayer and scripture study. By obedience to the covenants I have made. By serving others. By following after Christs' example. I wish to always have the companionship of the Holy Ghost and so always strive to Stand in Holy Places! This year with the political agenda in mind I will Arise and Shine Forth. I will not faulter in the face of evil. All those around me will know that I am a Mormon and what that means to me.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Carly Jasperson
God has called prophets to lead His Church in our day, just as He did anciently. The current prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Thomas S. Monson. He is assisted by two counselors—Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uctdorf. Together, they make up the First Presidency of the Church (much like Peter, James, and John after Christ’s death). All members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are apostles and prophets. The current Apostles are: ■Boyd K. Packer ■L. Tom Perry ■Russell M. Nelson ■Dallin H. Oaks ■M. Russell Ballard ■Richard G. Scott ■Robert D. Hales ■Jeffrey R. Holland ■David A. Bednar ■Quentin L. Cook ■D. Todd Christofferson ■Neil L. Andersen Show more Show less
