Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a very easy going person. Raised on a farm, missionarying in Georgia, I love eating, sleeping and waffles and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Logan Utah, raised in Washington and the oldest of 6 kids. I grew up outside city limits, on a farm of all places, sometimes referred to as middle of nowhere. I am currently serving a mission in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. I left my home on January 11th 2012 to serve the Lord for 2 years. Through everything so far, I've never been happier. I have sort of, kinda, arguably completed one semester of college and throughout my life I have found some of the most amazing people ever. seriously. I love to be outside enjoying the world all around us, except when its extremely hot, other than that its so fabulous. I can solve a Rubik's cube in under a minute on a frequent basis (like every time). All I do is win... no matter what, I try not to get too competitive, I enjoy reading, sleeping in the car, fudge dipped granola bars and eating too much lasagna. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I like kittens.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and what a blessing this has been. To know that there is a life after this and that we can all return to reside with God. The knowledge of being able to be clean again through repentance and the atonement of Jesus Christ. That there is a prophet here on the earth again with the proper authority from God. That the fulness of the gospel is finally restored, the gospel that Christ himself taught. That our church is the very same one that Jesus Christ organized while he was upon the earth. Knowing all that has kept me going and given me the desire to share my knowledge of the gospel with all the people I come in contact with.

How I live my faith

I get the opportunity to live my faith everyday starting at 6:30 in the morning and showing it til 10:30 every night. I go around talking with people I see on the streets, in Walmart and if I am lucky in their house. My goal is to invite as many people as I can to come closer to Christ. Everytime I find someone willing to listen and come closer to Christ, it makes me happy beyond belief. There really isn't anything like being able to see people find out for themselves that we have a prophet or that the Book Of Mormon really is true.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Jordan
The Book of Mormon is, as it says on the cover, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Like the Bible, it contains writings from ancient prophets that teach Heavenly Father's plan and of Jesus Christ. In 3rd Nephi 11 (a book in the Book of Mormon) Christ visits these American people (where The Book of Mormon is taking place at) after being crucified on the cross and are "the other sheep I have which are not of this fold" (John 10:16) told of in the Bible. The Bible and Book of Mormon support each other, both teach of Christ, His Atonement and His love. Moroni 10:3-5 promises us that if we read (The Book of Mormon), sincerely pray with real intent and really seek to know if The Book of Mormon is true, having faith in Christ, that "he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost" (Moroni 10:4,5) I can promise that anyone who takes Moroni's Challenge will know with a surety that what they have read is true. Then, if The Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith is a true Prophet and that there is a Prophet alive today and if there is a Prophet alive today then the Priesthood (the authority to act in God's name) is back on the Earth and that we have a very loving Heavenly Father who loves every single one of us regardless of what we have done in this life and through Christ's Atonement we can each return to live with him. What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Jordan
When you invite missionaries into your home and allow them to teach they will just want to share a message. The message being about Jesus Christ, his atonement and how loving our Heavenly Father is and his desire for all of us to return to live with him someday. That through His Plan of Salvation or Plan of Happiness that we all have that chance to live with Him and your family and loved ones forever. They will also be open to answer any questions you may have about God, Jesus Christ or about His church once again restored to the earth. Show more Show less
