Hi I'm Alicia

I love music. I have 3 dogs that I love playing with. I'm a twin. I have MS and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a BS of Chemistry. I love being in the lab doing experiments and analyses. I have 3 dogs that I absolutely LOVE to play with in my free time. I love being outside. I have toured parts of Europe on a summer performing music tour. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at age 19. I love a challenge and using my mind. I was born and raised a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel! It has helped me so much in school and life. Going to church each week allows me to start the week off right and helps me have a better week each week. I love going to institute and learning more about Him, it motivates and uplifts me so much to always want to be the best I can be and should I fall short of my best I know that I can repent and do better next time. During finals in college I made it a priority to be extra involved in church activities and reading my scriptures. I knew if I did these things that finals would be less stressful and I was able to relax and do my best on my finals. Being close with my Savior gave me someone to lean on during my trials, especially during my life altering diagnosis of MS. I know that this gospel is true. I know that there is a living prophet today who receives revelation from our Lord. I know that prayer is a powerful tool and that our Heavenly Father listens and answers ALL of our prayers. I know that trials are for our benefit and I am so thankful for everyone of my trials in this life. I don't know where I would be without this gospel in my life. It is everything to me and I would be lost without it. The knowledge that I know that I lived with my Heavenly Father before this life and that I can return to live with Him after this life is wonderful. Knowing that I can see my grandma again is such a blessing of peace and comfort. I know that families can be together forever which to me is just the greatest blessing of all. I know that Jesus Christ died for our sins and that He lives today. I know that we can do all things with the help of our Lord and Savior. I know that I am a child of God and it is through this knowledge that I know that I am special, unique, and loved even when the world may say otherwise.

How I live my faith

I have taught the young children to sing church songs. I help plan activities for the young single adults in the region so that they may meet new people and make friends. I stand up for what I believe when friends choose to do otherwise. I do not hold others decisions against them and continue to love them for they are...a child of God. I look at the commandments as a guidebook to life that if we do those things all will work out and we'll be happier because we have done those things. I do my best to always live what I believe and I repent when I don't. I carry through on commitments and promises I make.
