Hi I'm Josh

I'm English. I love Football. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Josh, I am 20 years of age, born in Coventry, England. I later moved to an area close to Northampton called Thrapston, where i lived with my parents and my 3 younger brothers. I attended school and later took my A-levels in English, Sports Studies, and Travel & Tourism. i have always had a passion for football, i unfortunately/fortunately support my home town team Coventry City. I have played all my life, and was lucky enough to play on some rather good teams. I used to work briefly in a call centre in customer service where i was able to talk to a wide variety of different people from all over the country. I pretty much love all sports and played everything i could in High School. I developed a passion for reading when i was younger and that still exists today, aswell as reading i love to actually write.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i have seen how my life, and my family have been blessed and strengthened by the teachings and gospel of Jesus Christ, found not just in the Bible but also in the Book of Mormon. I have been given the answers to the questions i asked so frequently in my life, which gives me purpose and drive to accomplish all i can in this life. I can see how things I have been taught since i was young in church have helped me in all aspects of my life, wether it be at school or out on the football pitch. I have been blessed in my life, and i have seen the evidence that this is from God, and have felt the love that radiates from this church and those around me, it is the foundation, purpose, and future of my life.

How I live my faith

The biggest way i live my Faith at the moment is by curently serving a full-time mission in the Manchester, England area. Where i share what i believe, and know to be true with everyone i come in contact with non-stop for 2 years. I get to speak to wonderful people (with wonderful accents!) everyday sharing what Jesus Christ really means to me, and hopefully to them, and help them see how he can help them in every aspect of their life. Whilst i was back home however i had the opportunity of playing alot of football at a fairly decent standard. Whilst doing so i obviously encountered many situations which contradicted what i believed, it was in this situations i had the opportunity to show my beliefs by maintaining appropriate language, and generally showing love and respect for my team-mates. The Saviour showed us the perfect example of how to work alongside one another, and how although things around us may change and become more difficult, as we apply that christ-like support for one another, whether it be a word of encouragement for a dissapointed team-mate, or showing forgiveness after a hard tackle. ultimately it led to me enjoying my game far more, and hopefully have a good influence to those around me.
