Hi I'm Kara!

I'm a stage actress. I'm a director. I'm an English teacher. I love being unique. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Pocatello, Idaho. My parents are happily married and are such a great example to me in every way. I grew up in Idaho but greatly disliked the cold weather. For school, instead of the usual BYU-Idaho, I applied to BYU-Hawaii. I started attending there in the fall of 2009. I attended school there until I left to serve in the England Manchester Mission! I am back attending BYU-Hawaii and happily engaged to be Married!!!

Why I am a Mormon

Most people hear I was born into the church and think that is the only reason that I am a member, but when it comes down to it, everyone has to find out for themselves! That time came when I was about 12. I lost my testimony and didn't know if what I was taught was really true! It took me 7 years to find my testimony again! I was stubborn and didn't want to recognize the promptings of the Spirit and the answers to the prayers that I had received! The Spirit had to be brutally blunt with me on occasions and I am grateful for that. I now know that this church is true. I know that I am here for a reason as is everyone else that I meet. I know that God loves us and wants us to return to him someday. I know that through Jesus Christ we can never stray too far from the path and that we can return again and rejoice, and he will rejoice with us! God loves me and He loves you!

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving a mission and there is no greater calling! I love working with the people that I meet on the street, bus, and door to door! Sure we face rejection a bit but it will not be said of me that I did not try! Before coming on my mission I was able to work with the youth of the church! What crucial years to find faith and happiness! I was always amazed as I witnessed the amazing talents and capabilites of the youth and how they use those to find purpose and meaning in life! Youth of today are a strength if they use their capabilities constructively or they can be a hinderance if they don't focus their amazing potential.
