Hi I'm Kari

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I'm a photographer. I'm a blogger. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Kari, and I love my life as a young adult in Minneapolis. I love my city, and I spend a lot of time recording that love in both pictures and words on my various blogs. I work as the assistant manager at a plus-sized clothing store, and I love the opportunities for service that this job presents me with on a daily basis. I get to help people learn to love themselves, no matter their size, and that is very precious to me. I love both books and movies, and have extensive collections of both. I love the way that slices of our history can be preserved through media. I spend a lot of my free time reading, and I love to learn new things. I love the family I grew up in, and hope to start one of my own someday. One of my greatest desires is to be a Mother. Right now I am in school, hoping to obtain a degree in Marriage and Family Studies. I hope to one day use these skills to be a counselor for troubled kids and teens. I love being a caretaker, and hope to be a mother-figure to many, no matter what my life brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the restored gospel brings true happiness into my life. I was born a member of the church, but I fell away in my teenage years because I thought that I didn't need church to be happy. I was inactive for a long time. I thought that I was happy with my life during this time, but everything was becoming more confusing, and my life was in a downward spiral that I couldn't get out of. My witness of the truth of this church came when I was at my lowest point: very sick, and very sad. I needed help, and I called up my home teachers for a blessing. During that blessing, I became very aware of my Heavenly Father's love for me. I felt light in my heart, and I knew that I would be well and happy again. Ever since I opened my heart to the Lord my life has completely changed. I feel happy and positive, and I have more direction in my life. I love going to church, and I love going to the Temple. There is so much truth in this gospel, and I know that it blesses my life every day.

How I live my faith

I am a Ward Missionary in my church, and have been called to share the joy of the restored gospel and invite people to learn more about it! It's exciting to be a part the missionary effort, and I enjoy the opportunities this gives me to come out of my shell and meet great new people. The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought such happiness and peace into my life, and I feel very blessed to be able to share this with the people around me.
