Hi I'm Dasha

I'm a missionary in Austrlia. I am from Russia. I like to go hiking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Dasha. I recently graduated from University in Public Administration. I was born and raised in Russia. I love to go skiing with my parents. I have a dog named Sharik, which is a Russian name. Currently I am serving a mission in Melbourne, Australia and learning English. I am loving my mission and serving the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was going to University I met some missionaries who gave me a flier about an English Club. I decided to go and learn more English. At the end of the english club class, the missionaries shared a spiritual thought. They talk about prayer. I felt something different when they spoke, which I later recogized as the spirit. I went home and continued to think about what the missionaries said. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I looked forward to going back to English Club to hear from the missionaries again. The next time at English Club I asked the missionaries if I could learn more about the Book of Mormon. Soon after I started taking the discussions and recieved my own copy of the Book of Mormon. When I read the Book of Mormon I felt something different. To me, it was a book of knowledge and I wanted to learn more. As the missionaries taught me I saw that this gospel was something I wanted in my life. I loved learning that families could be together forever and wanted that blessing for my own family. A month after meeting the missionaries I was baptized. Now, two years later I am serving a mission for the Lord. The gospel is true and has changed my life. I know the Book of Mormon is true. Even though I don't always understand everything, I feel the spirit and know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary! Serving a mission is not always what I thought it would be. It is hard to learn English, but as I rely on the Lord I know that I will recieve more strength and continue to improve. I am grateful for the gospel in my life and all it's teachings. I enjoy sharing the gospel message with others and meeting people from all different places here in Melbourne. I have found that as we strive to help others we grow ourselves. I am grateful for the challenges and blessings of sharing the gospel with others in Australia.
