Hi I'm Tim Evans

I'm a dude who really loves the Mormon Church and Book of Mormon, and yes I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Sandy, UT and I went on a LDS Mission to Ft Lauderdale, FL. I learned Cuban and Spanish, and after my mission returned to Salt Lake. Then, I met my Queen Dalia Cynthia Martinez Ponce the love of my life "Hablamos espanol en la casa y somos orgullosos de ser Mormones!". We have 2 kids and were married in the Salt Lake Temple. I'm currently in the Centerville, UT 19th Ward.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember growing up with a very active Mom in the Church and a Dad who supported her but wasn't active, but was a hard working and great Dad, he had polio from his early childhood and had his own challenges. I really didn't go to church much as a youth. I did enroll in Alta High Seminary in Sandy, UT and I remember Brother Griffith testimony when I was 16 (he was a older guy in his 60's and was very humble and small) but had a great testimony, I remember I started feeling the spirit (peace) in each class I took, and then wanted to pray to see if the Book of Mormon was true. I can still strongly remember the next day after I prayed that night if it was true and pondering it over in my heart to know for myself. When I went to my Seminary Class the next day, I felt a very strong peaceful and burning spirit in my heart and chest come over me as I listened to the Class the feeling was so strong that I remember not wanting to move or do anything as I didn't want to scare it away (it lasted for about 10-15 minutes), I know the Holy Ghost told me then that the Book of Mormon was and is true! I then started to strive everyday to maintain the spirit with me and hope to feel it for Eternity as I noticed I could gain it by daily reading of the Book of Mormon. I wan't others to know and feel what I did, the Holy Ghost answered my prayers and changed my life.

How I live my faith

Walking up the mountain is hard sometimes as you follow the church as it's can be very demanding, but me and my family try to remember to look back and enjoy the view as much as possible, especially when we see or feel how much more we need to go. Trying to be perfect like Christ is a very humbling commandment he has given us Mathew 5:48, but we Rejoice in Christ. BofM 2 Nephi 25:26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.
