Hi I'm Bill

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania and joined the Church while at Penn State on route to earning a BS in Chemistry.

About Me

I am retired. I worked in the mining and metals industry in Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska and Nevada working in and supervising Assay Labs and Quality Assurance. My wife and I have been married forty plus years. We have seven children and twenty-four grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to this faith after receiving instruction on what is commonly referred to as the Plan of Salvation. The protestant faith that I had been active in, did not adequately address the question, where was I before this life. I had a deep conviction that this life was not the beginning. The teaching that we are the spirit children of a loving Heavenly Father who created this earth so we would have the opportunity to grow overwhelmed me with feelings of the spirit telling me of its truth. I was amazed at the Biblical scriptures that teach this doctrine but I had never received their understanding.

How I live my faith

I regularly attend a small ward (congregation) in north western Pennsylvania. I serve as Bishop to this group which is their ecclesiastical leader. I spend time visiting families and providing council when needed. I spend time reading the scripture daily and value my daily prayers.
