Hi I'm Jason A. Christensen

I love sports, singing, and playing the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am very into music. I like singing and playing the piano, and sometimes I arrange popular songs for fun. I also like sports, especially basketball and football. I have started college and hope to become an engineer or something of the sort. The most important thing to me is my family. I am a brother, son, uncle, grandson, nephew, and friend. My family isn't just the people I was always with while I grew up; my family is my support system, my fan club, my best friends. Whenever there's something special that happens in my life, I first want to share it with my family. I love them so much!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and I have a good family history of membership in the Church. I am fortunate to have always had the gospel in my life thanks to my strong family, and I believe that our way of life as members has always been a blessing to me. Living life as a member of the LDS Church is an essential part of who I am. It isn't just something that I think about once a week; rather, it is the guiding force in my life. It's all focused on Jesus Christ and living as God wants us to. The gospel provides a clear explanation of who we are and what this life is all about. I know that by following the teachings of the prophets as found in the Book of Mormon and the Bible, a person will draw nearer to Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father sent all of us to Earth so that we can become more. I have made mistakes in my life, just as I think everyone has. However, there is one who lived a perfect life, and he is Jesus Christ. Being as sinless as he was, when he suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, Christ paid the price that all of God's children may be made clean and return to His presence. God loves all of His children and through the Restoration of His Church on the Earth and other modern-day revelations, He has made the blessings of the gospel available to all who desire to receive it. Because God loves all of His children in all generations and all places, His plan makes it possible for everyone to receive the blessings of the gospel. He wants all of His children to return to Him, and He is always waiting to bless those who follow the paths of righteousness. He has provided the Holy Ghost as a help for anyone who tries to follow Him. The guidance of the gospel keeps us safe from the bondage of sin. God wants us to be as happy as we can, and He grants us help and knowledge through prophets, scriptures, and personal revelation as we exercise faith. Being a member of the Church makes me happy, because I know I am God´s son.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in my church services often by helping provide the music. I have played the piano, organ, and sang as part of the church services. For me, music is a way in which I can express my testimony of God and Jesus Christ. I have served also as a hometeacher. This involves making a monthly visit to a couple of assigned families from the area. As a hometeacher you are responsible to make sure that those families have what they need and have someone to turn to in time of need. The ways that I participate in my church hopefully help others to be able to come closer to Christ. I know for certain, however, that as I strive to carry out my duties by serving others selflessly, I come closer to Christ personally and I receive blessings from God. In general, my aim is to live life as God would have me. I know that people are always watching each other, and I want people to be able to come unto Christ because they see how my faith in Christ blesses my life.
