Hi I'm Anna

I have a degree in chemical engineering but choose to be a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the wife of a wonderful man and the mother of an incredible little boy. As the youngest of four girls in my family, I still have a lot to learn about my boys -- but I love every minute with them! I am fortunate to have a husband who respects and values me. Our marriage has been one of teamwork and equality, for which I am grateful. I recently graduated with a degree in chemical engineering. While I love the field, I love being a wife and mother even more; my family means everything to me. I am fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my sweet little boy. I enjoy doing a wide range of things. Playing soccer, playing the piano and violin, and crocheting are a few of the things I love to do. However, I find my greatest joy in being with family and good friends. Religion has always played a big part in my life. It has helped to form me into the person I am now, but I still have many improvements to make. I look forward to learning and progressing with my family by my side.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are Mormon, so I was raised as a member of the church. My parents were diligent in teaching me the things that they believed to be true. However, they made it clear that I could choose my own path. The gospel of Jesus Christ has come to mean everything to me. The doctrines are pure and simple. They teach of the love that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for each of us. Because of this great love, They have made it possible for us to become like They are. Additionally, we are taught that we can be with our families for ever. What blessing could be greater? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps teach its members things of eternal value--the things that will enable us to receive these great blessings. I know it is true, and I strive every day to become better and live the things that I have been taught. I truly believe that living the gospel brings greater joy than anything else ever will.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the Young Women organization, where I work with girls ages 12-18. It is amazing to see how strong these girls are in a world of so much confusion and temptation. I also love to participate in the music of the Church. I occasionally play the piano in meetings or participate in special musical numbers. Additionally, I try to find opportunities to serve others in the Church or the surrounding community. The Visiting Teaching program of the Church encourages friendship and service among the adult women. My Visiting Teaching companion and I visit six women whose circumstances vary widely. Some are active in the church, while others are not. I try to incorporate the gospel in all aspects of my life. I believe that true followers of Jesus Christ will try to emulate Him in all that they do.
