Hi I'm Tavish

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah but have grown up all of my life in Georgia, I am a student and work part time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Tavish, I like to play paintball, airsoft, climb, repell, basically anything adrenaline is appealing, I am a student, I was in the Boy Scouts of America and achieved my Eagle Scout and I always like meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

Well why I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is because I was born into this church and was taught that way by my parents, but why I am a Mormon is entirely different. I have always been taught to do the right thing by my parents who I love a lot, but that is not why I am a member of this church, I am by nature a somewhat skeptical person of a lot of things, one of which being religion, I had always went to church with my parents, but that is very different than having a testimony of Christ. I was never really quite sure. One night from the invitation of a Sunday school teacher i prayed and asked if the church was true, I felt kind of good, but I was not entirely sure that that was an answer. Then when I was twelve I had the opportunity to go to the temple, that is something that I will not forget, there was such a peace and serenity there. I felt really good and was pretty positive that the church was true. But that was just a beginning, then when I turned 19 I went and served as a full time missionary where I had the opportunity to bear my testimony of Christ daily, I will compare my faith to a small plant which when I watered it by doing what was right it grew and when I did nothing to help it grow more it didn't, I realized this pattern as I testified of Christ, when I truly had my heart set on Him and not on any numbers or self interest I could feel it, I could feel it when I testified of Him and of the church. That feeling is something undeniable which I can never break. I know that Christ lives because of the testimony which I have felt. And I hope to see Him one day.

How I live my faith

I always try to do my best, that is all that I can say, I am not perfect and will never claim to be and have a long way to go. I go to church every week and try to help out the missionaries a little bit in what they do. Although I am not perfect I try to do what is right, and I hope one day to be able to do more.
