Hi I'm Manase

I'm from the small Island of Tonga, I love life and my family, I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a Missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, I'm from Tonga serving a mission in Idaho. I love spending time with family and playing rugby, I love to eat :)

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a lds home, my dad joined the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints growing up, I grew up in the church and was baptized at age 8. At the time of my baptism I did not understand everything but I remember the feeling that I got, knowing that I was doing the right thing by following the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized. I've learned for myself that answers to prayers doesn't just come to me all at once but through diligent prayer and scripture study and experiencing the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the gospel of John in the New Testament teaches that "If any man will do His will, He shall know of the doctrine, whether it be from God or whether I speak of myself". I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints because of Loving parents who have a great love for the Lord and His teachings, who loved me enough to help me to receive the ordinances of the gospel and I decided to stay in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints not just because my parents got me baptized to the church or because it's their faith that they go to, but because I have studied and prayed and found out for myself that the Church is true. I gained my testimony by reading the Book of Mormon with "real intent" and with a "sincere heart" and having "faith in Christ" that He will answer my prayers, and the Holy Ghost has testified to my mind and heart that it is true. We're not perfect because we all make mistakes, but I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints is true because it invites me to do good, and I've learned that everything that inviteth to do good is from God and everything that inviteth us to do evil is from the devil, Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us and answers our prayers if we trust in Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in serving the Lord by serving a full-time mission as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints for two years inviting people to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, Repentance, Baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and Endure to the end. I live my faith by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ of how it has blessed my life and rendering service to His children. Jesus Christ taught us to "love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, and soul" and to "love our neighbors as ourselves".

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We are saved by grace after all we can do. We not only accept Jesus Christ as our Savior but we also accept His teachings and His gospel as well. Sometimes those teachings and Gospel requires us to act upon those teachings, to repent of all our sins, to keep the commandments, to do good to others as the Savior has taught and showed us that we should live our lives. We will continue to make mistakes in this life and so it won't matter how much we do or how much "works" we do because we will always be in debt to our Savior and Redeemer. The Lord doesn't expect us to be perfect in this life but He wants us to do our very best to prepare ourselves to be worthy to dwell with him in His kingdom. He wants us to be active and true disciples of Him, to be obedient disciples of Him, to love one another as He loved us, to become like Him. His grace is sufficient for all men that repent and come unto Him and it is through His grace and mercy we are saved. Show more Show less
