Hi I'm Lindsey

I am a dancer, a traveler, a full-time missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Lindsey. I was born and raised in Utah Valley and I am the oldest of three kids. I have danced all my life. Regardless if it was in a studio or in my kitchen, I love to dance! However, this past year I've developed a new passion--traveling. I recently returned from a 4 month BYU study abroad in Jerusalem, Israel. That experience changed my life. I learned so much in those few short months.. I learned how to love all kinds of people and how to gain friendship despite differences. I learned how to trust in my Savior and understand what he suffered for me. While in Jerusalem, I had the privilege of opening my mission call to Rancho Cucamonga, CA. I now am here in California serving the people of Rancho in the Spanish language. It is the BEST decision I have ever made. I have a strong sense of self and my purpose for being here on Earth. I know who I am and what I stand for. I love the gospel with all my heart and could not be more grateful for being brought into this life with full knowledge of the truth. It has been the greatest blessing and has brought me more happiness than anything else in this world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was strong in the church and I have been taught the gospel principles since I was a child. However, as I've grown and had more of my own experiences I have come to know for myself that this gospel is true! I have always felt that it was all true but it wasn't until high school that I really understood the love my Savior had for me, the importance of eternal families, and how blessed I was to have the knowledge of the gospel in my life. When I moved out for college, I was blessed with two incredible examples of Christ as roommates and continued to see the blessings that came with living the gospel. I can testify now, after all these years in the church, that I KNOW it is true. I know it because I live it! I can see the difference that it makes in my life and I feel the Spirit testify to me through peace and comfort that I am following the path that God wants for me.

How I live my faith

I've served in a lot of different positions in the church as I've moved from ward to ward. My most recent calling was assigning what hymns to sing at the opening and closing of Sunday school. I also was assigned a companion (my roommate) and we were to visit two girls in our ward each month and share with them a gospel message and serve them in any way we could. These callings were simple but I saw great blessings come from them, specifically two new friends! However, I think the greatest and most simple way that I live my faith is by trying to be more like my Savior everyday. There's a quote by President Hinckley that says, "Try a little harder to be a little better everyday" and that is what I try to do! As I seek to live my life more aligned to the Savior's example, I see the blessings in my life and relationships with others.
