Hi I'm Christopher Michael!

PILGRIM, SURVIVOR, VET... STEADFAST DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST

About Me

I am using the Amazing power of the Savior's Atonement to rebuild a heart and mind, and thus LIFE left devastated by wars. Professionally I have worked as a firefighter, police officer, Army Ranger, Clandestine Services Operator, International Security Consultant, chef, instructor, facilitator, coordinator and many more. My favorite thing to do is spend time with babies. I love to let them communicate with me and adore observing them, especially when they are playing together! Out of doors, I love to sea kayak and spend as much time as I can get away with climbing trees and walking through the forests. I love trees...some of my very best friends throughout life have been trees! Indoors, inspired by the stories of another man who once had terrible handwriting and later became known for his exquisite penmanship, even one President Heber J. Grant, I have taken the dip pen to my own hand and practice the art of Calligraphy as often as occasion permits. I love reading from the best books, studying history...lately early Chinese/ warring states/ 3 Kingdoms...and by virtue a bit of the Calligraphy or course! I nearly ALWAYS have the Mormon Channel playing on the computer unless I'm in for a bit of classical or perhaps a bit of Enya. I strive to keep my home as close to a Temple as we have been told to. The blessings of this are far too great to tell tale of, but I can testify to you that such an thing is worth all the effort one may put into the endeavor!!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's true.

How I live my faith

I pick up trash. No kidding. It helps. Other people see it and do it. Picking up trash gives me an opportunity to serve my community and it helps to generate opportunities to interact with others. Our Savior has taught us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth doth speak....Keeping my heart filled with kind words...KNOWING that this will not be a simple task...and that it requires a commitment level that is uncommon...spiritual strength is a daily battle and making sure I have all the odds stacked up in my favor...putting on the WHOLE Armor of God or the Armor of Light requires living my life in such a way that others can look into any corner of it and see plainly that I am an honorable man. I invite all to the Gospel as it relates to one's personal struggles. I have learned something that is worth sharing and the practical application of it is amazing... "You want to do good and to be good? That is commendable; but the Greatest Achievement that can be reached in our lives being under the complete influence of the Holy Ghost. Then He will teach us what is really good and necessary to do" -Elder Enzio Busche (thank you so much!) I say hello to people and actually care about the responses I hear. I help in any way I can. I offer rides to people carrying shopping bags, or up hills, or in the rain. I stop on the side of the road to assist motorists in need. I offer my home to people who need a roof over their heads for a short period of time while they get their feet underneath them. I feed people. I Love. I think all the time how is the other person feeling right now. I put my hurt feelings into my eternal perspective and I Keep On Moving Forward While Holding Fast the Rod of Iron! I Love my Savior, I am Profoundly grateful for the unspeakable gift of repentance and the peace that passeth all understanding. Someone once said Peace is generally thought of as the absence of war; God's Peace is Peace in the midst of War. That is True.
