Hi I'm Alexander Mendoza

I am a full time missionary in Japan. I grew up in the United States. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have played the trombone for seven years. I have played percussion instruments for two years. I an an aspiring educator of music. I write music when I can. One of my heroes is Eric Whitacre.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but I choose to stay in the Church because of the witnesses I have received after careful prayer and studying of the scriptures, including: The Bible (King James Version), The Book of Mormon, and The Doctrine and Covenants. There is also a peace in my heart that I get whenever I think about the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am going to be serving my Church as a full time missionary for the duration of two years, and will be serving the people of Sendai Japan, as well as surrounding areas. I pray as often for the sake of others. I read my scriptures every day, as often as I can; I read from the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as well as the Book of Mormon and Doctrine of Covenants. I try my best to be a good example in all that I do.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Alexander Mendoza
Families are what we consider to be the most important part of society. We believe that families are ordained of God, or in other words, that God has set aside families as the principle place for the teaching of good works. Along with this, we believe that God has commanded that children should only come into this world in the holy bonds of matrimony (or marriage), and should be taught truth with love, and not be neglected. We believe that we can be with our families forever, in a glorified and perfected state. We also believe that God is our Heavenly Father, and that he wants us to return to Him to live with Him forever. Show more Show less
